Somalia: President Hassan Sheikh - "Anyone Thought to Be With Al-Shabaab Will Be Captured"

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr Hassan Sheikh Mohamud gave a lecture yesterday at a ceremony held to commemorate the 44th anniversary since the creation of the Somali Prison Service Forces and declared that any individual suspected of being associated with Al-Shabaab will be detained by the government forces and will subject to a thorough investigation.

The President in his speech mentioned that the Officials and Directors of the Prisons should not be reluctant to release any of Al-Shabaab's fighters and it will not be acceptable for their release.

"Never mind if you're sure that someone is Al-Shabaab because even those who are suspected off will be arrested and given a background check." Said the President

The President at last urged the citizens and the government forces to cooperate with each other in the military operations against Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab to strengthen the security.
