Tunisia: Governors' Reshuffle to Be Announced Shortly

Tunis — A reshuffle of governors will be announced shortly, a source of the Prime Ministry told TAP news agency.

The roadmap adopted by political parties taking part in the national dialogue requires that the new government reviews administrative appointments carried out on the basis of party affiliation.

At the session of the confidence vote in the government, Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa undertook before the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) deputies to ensure a favourable climate for the next elections, by endeavouring to re-establish security and reinforce regional development.

Administration neutrality is the main condition for the success of the next elections, the same source stressed.

A commission was tasked by Mr. Jomaa to evaluate the governors' work and propose names based on criteria of neutrality and competence.
