Security officials have asked the parliamentary committee on defense and foreign relations to improve security. Speaking to journalists on the sideline of the meeting with the Kenya Defense Forces officials on Friday in Mombasa town, chairperson Ndung'u Gethenji said they have received proposals that will improve security. Gethenji said Kenya's leadership has led to increased threats of attack. "The proposals received will reduce terrorism threats," he said.
The panel engaged senior officials from the ministries of Defense, Foreign Affairs, among others and officers from the National Intelligence Service and the KDF. The committee said Kenya's growing security and diplomatic commitments has led to increased financial implication.
