Angola: New Customs Tariff Induces Increase in Fiscal Revenues

The fiscal revenues in Angola may record an increase of over 23 million kwanzas, with the entrance in effect this year, on March 01, of the new Customs Tariff, which should bring about a 10 per cent growth in revenues.

Speaking to the press last Monday, the head of the Customs section of tariffs and trade, Garcia Afonso, said that the increase in revenues is due to the reinforcement of inspection and control measures which have been taken in the ambit of the Executive Project for Tax Reform (PERT).
