Nigeria: NEITI Seeks End to Over-Dependence On Oil, Gas

Kaduna — The Nigerian Extraction Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) has called on state governments to co-operate with it on the issues of sub-national reporting and domestication of NEITI process and principles in order to establish the right investment climate required for attracting the much needed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the solid mineral sector.

Speaking yesterday at the ongoing 35th International Trade Fair in Kaduna, the Executive Secretary of NEITI, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, said the cooperation is necessary so as to halt the current over-dependence and dominance in the Nigeria's oil and gas sector.
