Gambia Captain Among Players to Leave Club

Mustapha Jarju's love affair with Belgian Pro League club Mons could come to a dramatic end after the midfielder is named a candidate in a likely player mass exodus from the club, Foroyaa Sport can report. The Scorpions' captain two-and-half-year deal -signed in January 2012 - runs out June 2014 and there have been, so far, no signs of talks with the Mons club hierarchy over a contract renewal. The situation leaves the man dubbed 'Toubabo' at home with an uncertain future with matters getting exacerbated after being frozen out of the club lineup by Macedonia gaffer Janeveski.

The 27-year-old has been an indispensable asset for much of his six-year stint at the Bergen outfit assuming a revered figure status among die-hard club faithfuls. However, on account he'd fallen further down the pecking order in recent times -making just a mere one-time appearance in the starting fold since the turn of February 2014 - Jarju has inevitably courted transfer gossips on these grounds with latest bevy of reports suggesting he could leave with twelve other team-mates whose contracts are up.
