SENATOR Mohammed Danjuma Goje (APC, Gombe Central) is among the 11 senators that recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC. Before his election into the upper legislative chamber in 2011, he was the governor of his state under the PDP.
Again, before his governorship, Goje was appointed minister under the PDP-led federal government. He offers explanation to his decision and what his new party has for the people of Gombe State in particular and Nigeria as a whole. Excerpts:
