Sudan: Hand Grenade Kills Six, Wounds Eleven in Central Darfur

Mukjar — Six people were killed and 11 wounded when a militiaman threw a hand grenade at a group of citizens in Dambar, Central Darfur, on Tuesday. A relative of one of the victims told Radio Dabanga that a militiaman, apparently without a reason, threw a hand grenade at a group of citizens in Dambar, Mukjar locality, on Tuesday evening. Six people died instantly and 11 others were injured. The injured were transferred to a hospital in Rahad El Berdi in South Darfur for treatment. The assailant fled without being persecuted.
