Kenya: IPOA Told to Take Action On Kiambu Traffic Boss

The National Police Service Commission has ordered the Independent Policing Oversight Authority to take action against Kiambu traffic boss Gabriel Mulei. NPSC chief executive Stella Oimbo wrote to the IPOA chairman February 6 referring to Kiambu residents' complaints about Mulei's conduct.

"This office is in receipt of a complaint letter dated January 23, 2014 by residents of Kiambu about the conduct of the traffic base commander Gabriel Mulei. The purpose of this letter is to refer this matter to you for action," the letter reads.
