Nigeria: Two Feared Dead in Plateau Attack, 16 Houses Burnt

Jos — Two persons were Wednesday night attacked and killed by people yet unknown in Taro and Lwa villages of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State while 16 houses were burnt in Gana Ropp and Rasok villages of Barkin Ladi Local Government, the member representing Riyom in the state House of Assembly, Daniel Dem, said yesterday,

He said two people were killed after the attack on Riyom while the Special Task Force (STF) Media and Information Officer, Captain Salisu Mustapha, said he was not aware of any death resulting from the attack. Mustapha said: "Gana Ropp and Rasok villages had long been deserted but four locals from Taro village sustained gunshot wounds and have been evacuated to the Vom Christian Hospital in Jos south."
