Nigeria Risks Losing Fight Against Infant Mortality - Report

The Save the Children non-governmental organization has warned that Nigeria's progress in the reduction of child mortality in the last 10 years could be lost if it is unable to stop deaths among newborn children.

Its new report titled: "Ending Newborn Deaths," launched globally on Tuesday said up to two million newborn lives could be saved around the world if mortality among them is prevented-that is 950,000 lives each year, a reduction of 38%.
