Gambia: Accused Calls for Dismissal of Case - As Prosecution Struggle to Bring Witnesses

Alagie Jarju, a former employee of the Green Industry on Monday appealed to the Banjul Magistrates' Court, presided over by Principal Magistrate Hilary Abeke, for the court to dismiss his case for what he described as the prosecution's lack of bringing witnesses to court.

The accused person's application came as a result of the prosecution's application for an adjournment on the grounds that the witness they intent to call had traveled out of the jurisdiction of this court and is yet to come.
