Angola: Minister Speaks to Youths About Cunene Province History

The history of southern Cunene province was the topic of a lecture delivered on Friday in Ondjiva by the minister of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Motherland, Kundi Paihama.

This was during a meeting with university students.

Speaking on the topic, the minister said that the event was aimed to inform the youths about various aspects of the country , including Cunene's struggle of resistance to colonialism and contribution to national independence and political reconciliation in the region.

Kundi Paihama, who was once a Cunene province governor, made a presentation on the geographical situation of the region, political and administrative division, habits and customs of the people, as well as the social and economic development.

According to him, the history of Cunene is not very different from that of other provinces of the country, but has some particularities, mainly concerning the courage of the people in the struggle for the integrity and safeguard of the national territory.
