Angola: Bic Bank Opens Branch in South Africa

Angola's BIC bank gave an important contribution to the consolidation of its internationalisation process by opening on Friday 28 February a branch in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This was said to Angop on Saturday by the CEO of BIC Bank, Fernandes Teles.

The internationalisation process of the bank began in May 2008 with the opening of the first branch in Portugal.

The opening act of this branch office in Johannesburg was attended by members of the board of directors of the bank, personalities linked to the Angolan embassy in South Africa, Angolan and Portuguese businessmen with interests in the country of Nelson Mandela.

Speaking to Angop on the telephone from Johannesburg, the CEO said that the ceremony was also witnessed by officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Angola/South Africa.
