Egypt: Army Arrests 22 Terrorists, Criminals in Sinai, Minya

The Second Field Army arrested on Thursday eight terrorists, including a dangerous criminal, after launching a security operation in several cities in North Sinai.

Military Spokesman Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Ali said the troops burned 15 huts and destroyed six tunnels and three houses in Sarsoria area. They were used by terrorists in their attacks on police personnel, according to Ali.

Meanwhile, police and military forces stormed some hotbeds in the Upper Egyptian city of Menya and arrested 14 criminals with firearms in their possession.
