Reconstruction began at Nairobi's Westgate shopping mall on Monday (March 3rd), five months after al-Shabaab militants attacked the mall and killed 67 people, with the structure suffering significant damage.
The Committee on the Rapid Restoration of Westgate submitted its 74-page report to Commerce and Tourism Secretary Phyllis Kandie on Monday. Chairman of the committee David Muigua said he expected the mall would be back in operation before long.
