Kenya: Treasury Minister Allows DPP to Recruit More Staff

The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has received been allowed to recruit additional staffers. The approval, received from the National Treasury, authorises the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko to use Sh137 million to recruit specialists and support staff.

In a letter signed by the National Treasury Secretary Henry Rotich, the government has allowed Tobiko to proceed with an urgent recruitment of prosecution counsels to address the shortage.
