Kenya: DP Ruto Accused of Using MPs to Fight Governor Rutto

MORE than 30 former councillors from the now defunct county councils of Bomet, Bureti and Sotik have accused Deputy President William Ruto of using senators and MPs to fight Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto.

Led by former Bomet county council chairman John Kalya, the group says Ruto has financed some MPs to hold press conferences and political rallies in the South Rift region in his war against Rutto. Kalya said the politicians are peddling propaganda against Rutto. They were speaking to the Star in Bomet town yesterday.
