The National Insurance Corporation of Liberia (NICOL) is said to be facing serious abandonment as the government, through the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) selects eighteen (18) private insurance companies for the enforcement of its Motor Vehicle Third Party Liability Insurance scheme in the country.
NICOL was established by a Decree of the People's Redemption Council (PRC) as the sole property of the government of Liberia for the purpose of undertaking and carrying out all classes of insurance businesses.
