Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has raised the policy rate to 10.25 per cent from the precious 9.75 per cent effective March, 2014, owing to inflationary risks which have generally been on the higher side.
BoZ head of public relations Kanguya Mayondi said the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the central bank assessed that risks to inflation were generally looking at the months of January and February.
