The Somali government on Monday opened a joint security operations office to co-ordinate efforts by Somali security forces and the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), Somalia's Hiiraan Online reported Tuesday (March 4th).
"The joint security operations co-ordination bureau has been established to help co-ordinate security operations which the African Union peacekeepers, police, intelligence services and Somali military are all involved in," Director of the National Security Agency General Bashir Mohamed Jama announced at a news conference in Mogadishu.
