Nigeria: Soldiers Withdrawn From Manchok After Protest

Kaduna — Soldiers recently posted to Manchok, Kaura LGA of Kaduna State were yesterday withdrawn following a protest by women in the area who alleged unprofessionalism in managing security problems.

Early yesterday, women and youths in Manchok gathered at the palace of the Chief of Marwa, Mr. Tagwai Sambo, complaining about a disagreement between the vigilante group and soldiers manning a check-point which led to the manhandling of some youths.
