Maputo — The flood surge down the Incomati river in southern Mozambique has passed through the town of Moamba, and has now reached Magude district.
According to the latest bulletin from the National Water Board (DNA), the level of the Incomati at Magude rose from 4.18 metres on Thursday morning to 8.28 metres by midday Friday. This is three and a half metres above the Magude flood alert level of five metres.
