Zambia: PF Militia Threaten to Terrorise Parliament

The Patriotic Front militia has threatened to storm parliament buildings on Tuesday and deal with opposition Members of Parliament should they continue their demand for a people driven constitution.

PF Lusaka Province youth Chairperson Kennedy Kamba, who is facing a charge of violent conduct in the Lusaka Magistrate Court, said the ruling party youth will deal with MPs inside parliament.

Kamba said the PF youth will not fear anyone in their quest to deal with opposition MPs.

"As PF youths we will march into parliament on Tuesday to stop the protests by opposition MPs demanding the new constitution. We will descend on parliament to go and stop the protests right inside the chamber," said Kamba who commandeered a band of youths drawn from across Lusaka Province.

Opposition MPs are currently pushing through a cause for a new constitution and twice disrupted business last week in parliament.

The PF youth wing has become notorious for violent behaviour with the most fearsome having culminated into a death after cadres bloodied each other at the height of the intra party clashes.
