Somalia: Al-Shabaab Vacate Buurdhuubo As Ethiopian Troops Advance

According to news reports from the Buurdhuubo district in the Gedo region, it has been said that today a heavy battle broke out.

This fight between the Government forces backed by the Ethiopian troops against Al-Shabaab erupted today in vicinity under the Buurdhuubo district.

The news added that Al-Shabaab vacated the Buurdhuubo district in Gedo region after being assaulted by government troops and Ethiopian soldiers.

Military operations against Al-Shabaab have recently began in areas under Bakool and Gedo; the south-western regions of Somalia.
