Somalia: MP's Welcome Search Crackdowns in Bakool
Yaquub Ali Mohamed who is one of the Members of the Parliament commented to Radio Shabelle in Mogadishu and welcomed the operations by the Somali government's troops to cleanse Al-Shabaab from the Bay and Bakool regions.
The MP said that civilians fled from Hudur and Waajid as well as stressing the importance of protecting the rights of the locals.
Territories and districts under the Bakool region were subjected to search operations in the past few days by Ethiopian troops and the soldiers of the Federal government.
