Egypt: Thirteen Arrested in Sinai, Bomb Workshop Destroyed - Army

Sinai — Armed forces arrested thirteen suspects on Saturday in a security operation in Sinai's Arish City, Egypt's military spokesman said.

Spokesman Ahmed Aly also told the state news agency that a workshop that was used to create explosive devices was demolished in Saturday's operation.

Eight vehicles and eight motorcycles that were being used for terrorist activities were also destroyed, Aly added.

Attacks on security forces have increased in the lawless peninsula since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July of last year.
