Kampala — "Customer service is not important," claimed a colleague, as a group of us discussed the role of customer satisfaction in market share.

Some group members agreed with this claim. "If a customer takes too much of our time with his demands, he will cause us to lose money," another person added. "It's better for him to be unhappy with us and go do business with a different company."
