Nigeria: ASUP Strike - NANS Protest Grounds Osogbo for Four Hours

Osogbo — Vehicular movement was grounded to a halt in Osogbo, capital of Osun State on Monday as students under the aegis of National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) blocked a major road in the commercial nerve center of Osogbo to demonstrate their anger over the ongoing strike by lecturers in the state owned polytechnics and Colleges of education.

The Chairman of Osun State axis of NANS's Join Campus Committee, Mr. Awowole Samuel while addressing the students during the protest said government must address the issue as a matter of urgency so that their lecturers would go back to work.
