Angola: Training of Local Environmental Activists Announced

Some 80 environmental activists will benefit from training under the environmental education project "Angola Contente" officially launched Thursday in Luanda. The information was released by the minister of Environment, Fátima Jardim at the signing of cooperation deal for the implementation of above project.

The accord was signed by Ministry of Environment, Catholic University of Angola and the Association of Ecologists and Environmentalists of Angola (AEAA). The minister said that the activists will be scattered countrywide to ensure the teaching on conservation and prevention of forest clearing, poach, among others.
