Kenya: Kisumu Rep Accuses Colleague of Assault

A nominated Kisumu MCA, who was allegedly assaulted by a colleague, has recorded a statement with police. Farida Salim said she was physically assaulted on Wednesday at the assembly by minority leader Edwin Anayo.

County commander David N'getich said they have launched investigations into the matter and will take appropriate action. Addressing a press conference at the county assembly yesterday, Salim said Anayo abused, slapped and shoved her.
