Zimbabwe: U.S.$6 Million for Smallholder Farmers

About 280 000 smallholder farmers are set to benefit from the US$6 million Rural Agricultural Revitalisation Project for Commercialisation of Smallholder Farming that was launched yesterday.The project, that will be implemented in all provinces, will benefit farmers in dairy, oil seeds and horticulture sub-sectors and ensure household food security and improved incomes.

Netherlands Development Organisation, Danish International Development Agency and Ministries of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development and Small and Medium Enterprises and Co-operative Development and public and private sector companies are spearheading the project.
