The works of construction of the headquarters of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in Saurimo, northeastern Lunda Sul province, will end in May this year, Angopo learned Tuesday here.
The information was released in Saurimo by INE director general, Camilo Ceita.
The official was speaking to Angop on the fringes of the visit the minister of Planning and Territory Development, Job Graça, paid to the site of construction.
According to the source, the two-storey building that is estimated to have cost Akz 400 million (Usd 4.0 million), will house the institution's officials involved in the General Population and Housing Census set for May 16-31.
Camilo Ceitas who is also the Census coordinator said the operation will help the Government to plan all actions in the fields of health, education, energy and water and other social equipment required for the wellbeing of the population.
