Angola: Minister Announces Construction of Libraries, Cultural Centres

Culture Ministry will build more libraries, cultural centres and other recreational sites for performance of activity in the country, said the incumbent minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva.

The minister announced this at a meeting with members of the municipal Administration of Ganda, southern Benguela province.

The official said that in addition to build the infrastructure, the sector also intends to develop the existing libraries, cultural centres and existing culture sites.

She also defended the need to convey the historical knowledge to the younger in order to contribute to the strengthening of culture, Angolan identity and enable the relationship among citizens, regions and countries.

The minister defended the staff training as another aspect that will contribute to increase the staff in the sector.

At the end of visit the minister signed the Book of Honours of the municipal administration of Ganda as a personality that visits for the first time the region.

On Friday, the minister holds a meeting with cultural operators in the region.
