Lilongwe — Chewa Heritage Foundation (Chefo) has debunked the longtime belief that Gule wa mkulu, a top Chewa dance, is a religion saying it is a traditional dance.
In a recent interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana), Chefo spokesperson Jimmy Hendricks Chikuni said as a heritage, they were disappointed to see Gule wa mkulu shunned by many people simply because they view it as evil or against their religious beliefs.
