Kenya: Workers Stop Drilling Borehole

The drilling of a borehole in Tarbaj subcounty has hit a snag. This is after the drilling crew vacated the site and went on a sabbatical leave to Wajir subcounty. The move has shocked residents who were hopeful of successful results as past drillings have not yielded any results.

"Something sinister is simmering. We have lost hope and have resorted to seek help only from Allah," nurse and residents Mohamed Alasow, said. Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi is expected to visit the subcounty this weekend to address the water problem during a meet-the-people tour.
