South Africa: ANC Statement On a False Tweet

The African National Congress dismisses the lies tweeted by Lubabalo Nggcukana of City Press that President Zuma was booed by residents of Jacksonville in Port Elizabeth. To the contrary, President Zuma was warmly received by a big contingency of residents of Jacksonville as well as residents whose houses he visited.

It is a fact that there was a handful of noisy residents some of whom were drunk who carried hand written placards who were instigated by local DA councilor. Representatives of this small group later spoke to the President and ended up asking for ANC t-shirts. It is also a fact that this group was a fraction of those who received President Zuma.
