Kenya: County Probe On Poor Results

The Kitui county assembly has begun a probe into education after poor performance in KCPE and KCSE exams. The assembly Departmental Committee in charge of Basic Education, Training and Skills development chaired by Ngomeni MCA Nzungi Ngwele was last week asked to investigate the declining education standards in Kitui. Kitui county was ranked position 33 in last year's KCSE exam and 38 in the KCPE exam out of the 47 counties.
