Africa: AIPS Africa Congress Opens in Dakar Today

Sports journalists across the continent are on the march to strengthening their voice and singing a new song of collaboration, with no fewer than 23 countries confirming their record participation in the AIPS (International Sports Journalist Association) Africa sub-regional congress that will open in the Senegalese capital of Dakar today, Monday. The four-day congress, which the Senegalese sports journalists will be proudly hosting for the second consecutive year, will be preceded by the meeting of the executive committee. Delegates attending the forum will also benefit from informative sessions from some of Africa's sports experts and continental based sports associations.

The AIPS international president, Gianni Merlo, will grace the meeting which comes about a month before the Association's 90th anniversary Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan.
