Nigeria: Embrace Peace, Boko Haram Urged

18 March 2014

Port Harcourt — The South-South and South-East Vice President General of Jama Atu Nasril Islam, Alhaji Abubakar Orlu, has called on Boko Haram insurgents to lay down their arms and embrace peace.

Alhaji Abubakar, who spoke to Daily Trust in Port Harcourt, said the Northern leaders should wake up from their slumber and call those behind the insurgency to order. "We cannot continue to blame federal government over killings carried out by Boko Haram. The issue of insecurity in the North should not be politicised," he said.
