Namibia: SSC Health Cover for Unemployed

UNEMPLOYED Namibians will have access to medical health coverage if plans by the Social Security Commission (SSC) to find ways to implement the initiative are completed.

Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, SSC Executive Officer Kenandei Tjivikua said that they, apart from of the mandate to establish a National Medical Benefit Fund (NMBF), made a proposal to the Ministry of Health and Social Services to provide support to the ministry's mandate of achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the country.
