Uganda: IGG Wants UNEB's Fagil Mandy Fired

The Inspector General of Government (IGG), Irene Mulyagonja, has asked the ministry of Education to have the appointment of Fagil Mandy as chairman of the Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) reconsidered.

The recommendation follows an investigation into reports that Mandy flouted established procedures in the recruitment of a new Uneb executive secretary early this year. Subsequently, the chairman was investigated on 10 counts of malpractice relating to the recruitment.
