Angola: Fisheries Minister Expected in Bengo Thursday

Angolan minister of Fisheries Victoria de Barros Neto is expected Thursday in northern Bengo province to lay the first stone for construction of project to support fishing activity in Yembe community, municipality of Ambriz.

This is contained in a press release from the Press Office Center of the Government of Bengo distributed to ANGOP in Caxito. It says that the project jointly financed by the African Development Bank and Angolan Government aims to contribute to combat hunger and poverty in rural communities as well as promote employment.

The project, whose costs have not been disclosed, will comprise areas for drying, store and conservation of products. It will also include shop for support the project, marketing and hall for training of fishermen.
