Kenya: Salat Appeals Poll Verdict to the Supreme Court

Kanu secretary general Nick Salat has moved to the Supreme Court pressing his petition against the election of Bomet Senator Wilfred Lesan. Salat lost the Bomet senator poll in the March 4, 2013 general election.

He lost to Senator Wilfred Lesan. Salat now says he was discriminated against in the High Court and Court of Appeal judgements as the judges slapped him with a Sh68 million bill. A five-judge bench will hear the case. Judge Aggrey Muchelule heard the High Court case while judges Patrick Kiage, Gitambu Kiarie and M'Inoti Kathurima heard the appeal case.
