Liberia: Trade Fair Raises Support for Cancer Society

Business entities and NGOs have supported a trade fair aimed at raising funds for the Liberia Cancer Society, to fight the disease in Liberia. Sponsors of the event were Liberian businesses and NGOs and guests included the Nigerian Ambassador Obi Nuodozie, FORD Motor Company, Alliance Motor Corporation, Center for Liberian Assistance Inc., the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) in Washington, DC, Hope For Women International (HFWI), and Game Changers Liberia, among others.

Participants at the cancer fair showcased their products, and proceeds from products on display were donated in support of the Cancer Society. Speaking to the Liberia News Agency at the Paynesville Town Hall, Nigerian Ambassador Nuodozie said cancer has become a serious problem among the women, and hence, there was a need to support the Liberia Cancer Society.
