Gambia: CPAG Commemorates World Consumer Rights Day 2014

Consumer Protection Association of The Gambia (CPAG) Saturday joined the global consumer movement to commemorate the 2014 edition of the World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) with the theme for this year's celebrations, "Fix Our Phone Rights".

According to a press release from CPAG, the organisation and other consumer organisations around the world are highlighting efforts to strengthen the protection of the rights of mobile phone users. Consumer International (CI), the global umbrella consumer organisation with over 240 members in 120 countries, and its affiliates will use the occasion to highlight consumer issues that are detrimental to the success of mobile phone services. In addition, CI has launched a new Consumer Agenda for Fair Mobile Services to mark WCRD 2014. The five-item Consumer Agenda aims to capture the issues that most affect consumers of mobile services.
