People of Mariko and Mateyu Villages in Traditional Authority (T/A) Kaduya in Phalombe have decried poor service delivery by the country's sole electricity provider Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) saying their services leave a lot to be desired.
The complaints come in the wake of power failures that has been experienced by the residents for over four months now since last November after a transformer at their trading center of Naminjiwa developed a fault believed to have been caused by lightening that struck in the area.
