Nigeria: Court Fixes April 8 to Hear Sanusi's Suit On Suspension

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja yesterday fixed April 8 to commence hearing in the substantive suit filed by the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Sanusi Lamido Sanusi challenging his suspension.

President Goodluck Jonathan had on February 19 suspended Sanusi over allegation of financial recklessness. The president said he based his action on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN)but Sanusi has denied any wrong doing.
