Nigeria: Ameobi Frustrated By Lack of Game Time At Newcastle

Super Eagles forward, Shola Ameobi, has admitted his frustration over lack of game time at his English Premier League club, Newcastle United.

Ameobi's confession yesterday confirmed THISDAY report on how lack of playing time for him and fellow Super Eagles players like Victor Moses and John Mikel Obi was giving Nigeria's Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, and his crew concern. Like Moses and Mikel, Ameobi has only started 10 matches for the Magpies in the league this season, last coming in the humiliating 3-0 defeat to rivals Sunderland. Part of the frustration of the 32-year-old forward is that he has struggled to find the net, while the likes of Loic Remy and Yoan Gouffran have accumulated 19 goals between them.
