Egypt: Mansour Asks Justice Minister to Open Investigation Into Rabaa Sit-in Incidents

President Adly Mansour has asked the Justice Minister to investigate all incidents that coincided with the dispersal of a Muslim Brotherhood sit-in in Rabaa al-Adawiya area in mid-August in line with a report compiled by the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR).

Mansour demanded the minister to assign an investigative judge to open an independent judicial investigation into the incidents, presidential spokesman Ehab Badawi said.

On Monday, the NCHR issued a report over the incidents after a fact-finding committee formed in September last year ended its work.
